Photo Composition Tip 1: Simplify the scene - This applied to my picture because I cropped out the columns and most of the what was in the photo, on the right, to make the memorial block the focus point.
The Rule of Thirds- This applied to my picture because I line up the memorial block on the left with the lines on the grid to make the picture straighter as if it were standing upright.
Depth of Field- This somewhat applied because I altered the background to look a little darker than it was before so that the block would be more in focus.
Lean into the Frame- This applied because I made it possible for the picture to show the action in the background of the people viewing the memorial stones.
Colors- This applied most definitely because I altered the colors to brighten the picure and change the tone. In the after picture, you are now able to notice the person with the blue jacket or how pretty the sky looks.
